Regular Season Round 5: MKS DG 2 - Czeladz 101-61

Very predictable result in Dabrowa Gornicza where third ranked MKS DG 2 (5-1) smashed 10th ranked Czeladz (3-3) 101-61 on Wednesday. MKS DG 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Czeladz's 22 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. MKS DG 2 forced 24 Czeladz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Czeladz's players. The best player for the winners was point guard Jakub Szarzycki (175-3) who scored 17 points and 6 assists. Piotr Lucka (194-96) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four MKS DG 2 players scored in double figures. Maciej Balcerzak (194-88) produced 23 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jakub Sciegienny (185-99) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MKS DG 2 keeps a position of Group C leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Czeladz dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. MKS DG 2 will meet Gliwice 2 (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Czeladz will play against Rybnik (#16) and hope to secure a win.
