The most interesting game of round 7 in the Premijer Liga was a home defeat of 3rd placed Cibona (5-2) to second ranked Cedevita Jr. (6-1) 83-73. It ended the four-game winning streak of Cibona. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Cedevita Jr. forced 19 Cibona turnovers. Strangely Cibona outrebounded Cedevita Jr. 48-31 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Emir Sabic (190-96, college: Lyon) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. Guard Sven Smajlagic (196-90) helped adding 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Cedevita Jr. players scored in double figures. At the losing side international power forward Roko Prkacin (206-2) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and Bosnian swingman Amar Gegic (200-98, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Cibona's coach Vladimir Jovanovic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Cedevita Jr. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Split. Cibona at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Zadar and Skrljevo. Cedevita Jr. is looking forward to face Gorica (#6) in Velika Gorica in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cibona's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Zagreb to the arena Dubrava.
