Regular Season Round 6: Penarroya - Novaschool 50-42

There was an upset when second-best Novaschool (3-1) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Penarroya (1-3) 50-42 on Saturday. Penarroya forced 21 Novaschool turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Luis Rodriguez (192-1) who scored 12 points. Guard Gonzalo Orozco (196) chipped in 6 points. At the other side the best for losing team was center Chema Del Rio (203-91) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and center Anastasio Vazquez (204-92) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Penarroya left bottom position moving up to ninth place in Group D-A, which they share with Benahavis. Loser Novaschool keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Unicaja-Andalucia and La Zubia. Penarroya will meet higher ranked Estepona (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Novaschool will play against El Pinar (#6) and hope to secure a win.
