Very expected game when 10th ranked Helsingborg (1-4) was defeated at home by third ranked Visby Ladies (4-1) 59-50 on Saturday. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was Jessica Kelliher (183-97, college: Lewis) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Davion Wingate (168, college: FGCU) chipped in 22 points and 6 steals. Center Kate Cain (196-99, college: Nebraska, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds and forward Japonica James (180-98, college: Troy) added 13 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Visby Ladies. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Mark and Alvik Basket. Loser Helsingborg dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. Visby Ladies will meet at home Sodertalje (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Helsingborg will play against Ostersund and hope to win that game.
