The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Peli-Karhut (5-1) on the court of third ranked Vimpelin Veto on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Vimpelin Veto 90-82. American swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and the former international guard Linda-Lotta Lehtoranta (178-91) added 12 points and 6 assists in the effort for Peli-Karhut. Five Vimpelin Veto and four Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. Vimpelin Veto (4-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with ToPo and HBA-Marsky. Peli-Karhut at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Vimpelin Veto is looking forward to face Torpan Pojat (#3) in Helsinki in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Peli-Karhut will play at home against Marsky Helsinki and is hoping to win this game.
