The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Adareva as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group A. Adareva edged 8th ranked Leon in Tenerife 62-59. They outrebounded Leon 39-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Mali Fatoumata Fofana (-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Alba Pena (176-95) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Julia Martinez replied with 14 points and Laura Gonzalez (-98) added 12 points in the effort for Leon. Adareva have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Arxil and Cordoba. Newly promoted Leon dropped to the ninth place with two games lost. They share the position with GDKO Bizkaia. Leon will play next round against De La Torre trying to get back on the winning streak. Adareva will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Melilla on the road.
