Regular Season Round 4: Sleza 2 - Pol.Krakow 44-64

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Pol.Krakow (3-1) crushed bottom-ranked Sleza 2 (0-4) in Wroclaw 64-44 on Saturday. Pol.Krakow forced 25 Sleza 2 turnovers. The winners were led by power forward Natalia Popiol (180-0) who scored that evening 19 points and center Katarzyna Kocaj (188-98) supported her with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Even 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Anna Jasinska (181-2) did not help to save the game for Sleza 2. Guard Sara Pajak (172-2) added 14 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pol.Krakow moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Leszno and Zgorzelec. Newly promoted Sleza 2 still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Wisla Krakow and Rybnik. Pol.Krakow will meet at home Gorzow Wlkp. II (#7) in the next round. Sleza 2 will play against the league's leader Poznan and hopes to get finally their first victory.
