Regular Season Round 5: Nanterre - Fos-Provence 49-65

Bottom-ranked Nanterre (0-5) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to tenth ranked Fos-Provence (2-3) 65-49 on Saturday evening. Fos-Provence forced 27 Nanterre turnovers and outrebounded them 36-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Jordan Degre (195-1) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Center Moustafa Haidara (206-1) chipped in 5 points and 14 rebounds. Power forward Samuel Eyango-Dingo (206-1) produced 9 points and 11 rebounds and Simeon Kalemba (200-3) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Fos-Provence went down to eleventh position due to points difference, which they share with Gravelines and Limoges CSP. Nanterre lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Monaco. Fos-Provence will meet at home Le Portel (#14) in the next round. Nanterre will play against Chalons-Reims (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
