Regular Season Round 6: Mataro AE Parc - Llucmajor 62-80

There was an upset when higher ranked Mataro Parc (2-2) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Llucmajor (1-3) 80-62 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Alberto Maura (198-98) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Gabriel Serra (192-96) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Llucmajor players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward David Romero (191-90) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Alberto Reyes (195-90) added 8 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Llucmajor left bottom position moving up to eighth place in Group C-2, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Mataro Parc dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Llucmajor will meet at home higher ranked Martorell (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mataro Parc will play against Alfinden and hope to secure a win.
