There was no surprise in Jerez de la Frontera where 9th ranked Xerez (1-3) was defeated by top-ranked CBSFDO (4-0) 79-69 on Saturday. CBSFDO dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Xerez's 28. CBSFDO forced 22 Xerez turnovers and had a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Diego Gallardo (198-89) who scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jesus Remesal (194-95) chipped in 13 points and 5 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Gibraltar power forward Alejandro Garcia (198-1) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and guard Anxo Iglesias (185-3) added 19 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. CBSFDO have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group D-B leader, which they share with Huelva CD.
