Rather expected game when 5th ranked Oleggio (2-2) lost at home to top-ranked San Miniato (4-0) 65-50 on Saturday. The winners were led by Edoardo Caversazio (200-96) who scored that evening 8 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and center Antonio Lorenzetti (196-95) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) by the former international Claudio Negri (197-85) did not help to save the game for Oleggio. Point guard Guglielmo De Ros (186-98) added 4 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. San Miniato keeps a position of B leader, which they share with Mestre. Loser Oleggio dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. San Miniato will meet at home Sangiorgese (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Oleggio will play against the league's second-placed Legnano K. (#2) and hope to secure a win.
