Regular Season Round 5: Limoges CSP - Cholet 79-91

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (2-3) was defeated at home by seventeenth ranked Cholet Basket (2-3) 91-79 on Saturday. Cholet Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Hungarian point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who scored 17 points and 8 assists. American guard Dominic Artis (192-93, college: UTEP, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Cholet Basket's coach Laurent Vila used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The former international guard Nicolas Lang (198-90, agency: BeoBasket) produced 18 points and American guard Demonte Harper (193-89, college: Morehead St.) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Cholet Basket moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Limoges CSP Elite. Cholet Basket will meet bottom-ranked Chorale de Roanne (#18) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Le Mans (#7) and hope to secure a win.
