Quite upsetting was Hapoel Eilat's home defeat in a game versus Hapoel Beer Sheva 99-93. Hapoel Beer Sheva forced 22 Hapoel Eilat turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Cody Demps (193-93, college: Sacramento St.) who scored 26 points and 5 assists. Center Derek Pardon (203-96, college: Northwestern) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Bryon Allen (193-92, college: GMU) who recorded 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Romello White (203-98, college: Ole Miss) added 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Four Hapoel Beer Sheva and five Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. Hapoel Eilat's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Beer Sheva will meet at home Maccabi Rishon (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Eilat will play against Galil Gilboa (#9) in Rosh Pina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
