Regular Season Round 5: Tromso - Gimle BBK 66-96

The game in Tromso supposed to be also quite interesting. Leader Gimle BBK (2-0) played at the court of 7th ranked Tromso (2-4). Gimle BBK smashed Tromso 96-66 on Sunday. Gimle BBK forced 21 Tromso turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. Gimle BBK looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Tromso's players. The best player for the winners was Serbian-Montenegrin center Milovan Savic (205-87) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Reidar Greve (184-2) chipped in 23 points (perfect behind the arc making all seven shots !!!). Guard Simen Samuelsen (188-93) produced 13 points and point guard Johannes Lange (182-98) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Five Tromso players scored in double figures. Tromso's coach Pal Berg gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Gimle BBK went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Tromso dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Fyllingen BBK. Gimle BBK will meet at home league's leader Asker Aliens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tromso will play against Kongsberg (#3) and hope to secure a win.
