Regular Season Round 4: Melilla - Juaristi ISB 84-67

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Juaristi ISB (0-4) lost on the road to tenth ranked Melilla (3-1) 84-67 on Sunday. The winners were led by guard Alex Llorca (192-89) who scored that evening 15 points and Belgian forward Thomas De Thaey (203-91, college: NC State, agency: Promo Sport ID) supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Melilla players scored in double figures. Even 22 points by French point guard Sidy Cissoko (198-4) did not help to save the game for Juaristi ISB. Senegalese power forward Abdou Thiam (210-98) added 9 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Melilla moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Juaristi ISB still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Melilla will meet bottom-ranked Prat (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Juaristi ISB will play against the league's leader Estudiantes (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
