Regular Season Round 3: PuHu Juniorit - Team Pajulahti 95-77

PuHu Juniorit used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Lahti 95-77 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by PuHu Juniorit. Team Pajulahti managed to win second period 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Valtteri Leino (183-95) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 4 assists. Power forward Mahmoud Mohamed (194-97) accounted for 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. U.S. Virgin Islands guard Xavier Richards (188-92, college: Tennessee St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and forward Eemi Luukkonen (200-2) added 25 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Team Pajulahti in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. PuHu Juniorit will meet Leppavaaran P. (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Team Pajulahti will play against Jyvaskyla BA (#9) and hope to secure a win.
