Regular Season Round 6: Leon - Ourense 119-86

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Ourense (1-5) was outplayed on the road by sixth ranked Leon (4-2) 119-86 on Sunday. Leon dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Ourense's 38. Leon forced 26 Ourense turnovers and outrebounded them 48-34 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Alan Morchon (188-99) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. Diego Bulto (188-2) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. Leon's coach Luis Castillo felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Ousman Sima (-1) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds and center David Guerra (205-89) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Leon moved-up to fifth place in Group A-B, which they share with La Flecha. Newly promoted Ourense stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Leon will meet Avila (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ourense will play against Betanzos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
