Regular Season Round 5: BDU Tsmoki - Brest 80-57

BDU Tsmoki has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Brest (0-5) 80-57. The game without a history. BDU Tsmoki led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BDU Tsmoki forced 22 Brest turnovers. It was a great shooting night for BDU Tsmoki especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Point guard Aliaksandra Yakubovich (175-3) nailed 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and guard Yana Borisevich (161-6) accounted for 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). BDU Tsmoki's coach Volha Padabed felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Anastasia Babak (180-2) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and Lyudmila Karinchuk (173-95) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Brest in the defeat. BDU Tsmoki (1-4) left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Gomel. It was Brest's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. BDU Tsmoki's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Gorizont.
