Very predictable result in Walbrzych where fourth ranked Gornik (5-1) outscored 11th ranked Pelplin (2-3) 73-54 on Sunday. Guard Marcin Dymala (187-90) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Hubert Pabian (201-89) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Karol Michalek (208-87) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Damian Janiak (195-89) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gornik have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Tychy and WKK Wroclaw. Loser Pelplin keeps the eleventh position with three games lost. They share it with Krosno. Gornik will meet Krosno (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pelplin will play against Kotwica and hope to secure a win.
