Everything went according to plan in Klaipeda where top-ranked Lithuanian Neptunas (3-0) outscored 11th ranked Estonian TalTech (1-4) 102-64 on Sunday. The game without a history. Neptunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Neptunas forced 26 TalTech turnovers and outrebounded them 38-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by TalTech's players. Lithuanian point guard Dominyka Paliulyte (171-1) fired 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Savannah Plentovich (172-98, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Neptunas players scored in double figures. Neptunas' coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Marie Sepp (168-2) produced 21 points and 4 assists and point guard Sofia Kosareva (170-98) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Neptunas have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted TalTech keeps the eleventh place with four games lost. Neptunas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TalTech will play against BJBS RJ (#8) and hope to win that game.
