Bnei Hasharon defeated Hapoel Haifa in Hod Hasharon 90-81. Bnei Hasharon made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American swingman Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward ShaMarkus Kennedy (203-98, college: McNeese St.) helped adding 10 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward James Thompson IV (208-95, college: EMU) with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Venezuelan point guard Gregory Vargas (182-86) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Bnei Hasharon and five Hapoel Haifa players scored in double figures. Hapoel Haifa will play next round against Galil Elion trying to get back on the winning streak. Bnei Hasharon will try to continue on its current victory against Maccabi Tel-Aviv on the road.
