The most surprising game was the first loss of Etoile Angers (7-1) on the court of ninth ranked La Rochelle on Friday night. Visitors were edged by La Rochelle 86-85. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Etoile Angers. La Rochelle made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Five La Rochelle and four Etoile Angers players scored in double figures. Etoile Angers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Rochelle (4-4) moved-up to seventh place in Group A, which they share with Lourdes and Dax-Gamarde. Etoile Angers at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Rueil. La Rochelle is looking forward to face higher ranked Poitiers (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Etoile Angers will play against Union Rennes and is hoping to win this game.
