Regular Season Round 7: Bisons - Kobrat 64-72

There was no surprise in Loimaa where 10th ranked Bisons (1-6) was defeated by seventh ranked Kobrat (4-3) 72-64 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American-DR Congolese guard Christian Lutete (196-96, college: UMass Lowell) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Andre Wesson (198-97, college: Ohio St.) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Zach Thomas (203-96, college: Bucknell) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Cortez Edwards (188-97, college: Southern Miss) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kobrat. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Vilpas and Lahti. Bisons lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Kobrat will meet at home Nokia (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bisons will play against Kouvot in Kouvola and hope to win that game.
