Regular Season Round 7: Legionowo - Zyrardow 71-90

There was an upset when higher ranked Legionowo (2-4) was rolled over at home by fifteenth ranked Zyrardow (1-6) 90-71 on Saturday. Zyrardow forced 25 Legionowo turnovers and outrebounded them 49-31 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Legionowo's players. Mariusz Lapinski (196-82) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Marcin Uliczka (189-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four Zyrardow players scored in double figures. Center Lukasz Paul (205-89) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Przemyslaw Lewandowski (201-78) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zyrardow left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place in Group B, which they share with Pisz. Newly promoted Legionowo dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Zyrardow will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Legionowo will play against Radom Kolejarz (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
