Regular Season Round 5: Prat - Melilla 97-81

There was an upset when higher ranked Melilla (3-2) was defeated on the road by eighteenth ranked Prat (1-4) 97-81 on Saturday. Prat looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard TJ Crockett (185, college: Lindenwood) who scored 22 points and 6 assists. Colombian forward Andres Ibarguen (198-96, college: Angelo St.) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Prat players scored in double figures. Point guard Adrian Chapela (192-94) produced 14 points and 8 assists and guard Alex Llorca (192-89) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Prat left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Alicante and Juaristi ISB. Loser Melilla dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Castello and Coruna. Prat will meet league's second-placed Estudiantes in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Melilla will play against Castello (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
