Regular Season Round 7: Ardoi - Zamarat 62-100

The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Zamarat (5-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Ardoi (3-3). Zamarat smashed Ardoi 100-62 on Saturday. Zamarat forced 19 Ardoi turnovers and outrebounded them 36-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Zamarat looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Ardoi's players. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Morgan Green (170-96, college: UC Irvine, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import swingman Chelsea Waters (186-94, college: Gonzaga, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) accounted for 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Zamarat players scored in double figures. Swingman Iranzu Echeverria (174-93) came up with 10 points and Portuguese forward Josephine Filipe (177-95) added 11 points respectively for Ardoi in the defeat. Ardoi's coach Jose Javier Unzue gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Zamarat moved-up to fourth place. Ardoi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Zamarat will meet at home league's second-placed Barca CBS in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ardoi will play against Jairis (#3) and hope to secure a win.
