Regular Season Round 4: Treviso - Milano 38-56

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Treviso (0-4) was defeated at home by top-ranked Milano (4-0) 56-38 on Saturday. Milano held Treviso to an opponent 22.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian-Hungarian power forward Emese Vida (190-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds and power forward Paola Novati (180-98) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Milano players scored in double figures. At the losing side Slovakian center Alica Moravcikova (190-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 20 rebounds and forward Michela Volpato (174-97) scored 5 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Milano maintains third position in A2 with 4-0 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Brescia. Newly promoted Treviso still closes the standings with four games lost. Milano will meet at home Alpo (#6) in the next round. Treviso will play against Bolzano AV (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
