Regular Season Round 6: Visby - Sodertalje 75-71

Bottom-ranked Sodertalje (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 75-71 loss to fifth ranked Visby Ladies (5-1) in Visby on Saturday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Visby Ladies looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Jessica Kelliher (183-97, college: Lewis) had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward ALexus Harrison (188-95, college: SFU) chipped in 15 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Ellen Astrom (170-96) with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and center Edessa Noyan (186-4) scored 9 points and 16 rebounds. Visby Ladies have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Mark. Loser Sodertalje still closes the standings with six games lost. Visby Ladies will meet A3 Basket (#5) in the next round. Sodertalje will play against the league's leader Lulea Basket (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
