Regular Season Round 7: Calpe - Sueca 72-76

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Sueca (1-4) defeated on the road 6th ranked Calpe (1-4) 76-72 on Sunday. It was a great evening for guard Carlos Gil (185-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. Swingman Jose Boix (-98) helped adding 22 points. Sueca's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Argentinian-Italian guard Juan Davini (185-98) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Juan Crespo (180-94) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Sueca left bottom position moving up to sixth place in Group E-B, which they share with Calpe and Alginet B. Sueca will meet at home higher ranked Picken Claret (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Calpe will play against Aldaia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
