Regular Season Round 7: Andratx - Girona B 64-73

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Andratx (0-5) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Girona B (4-1) 73-64 on Sunday. Girona B forced 28 Andratx turnovers. It was a great evening for Toni Espinosa (195-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. Center Antoni Rodriguez (200-99) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Carlos Colom (-95) responded with 14 points and 4 assists and forward Imanol Martinez (195-0) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Girona B. They moved-up to second place in Group C-3, which they share with Navas and Sol Girones. Andratx lost their fifth game in a row. Andratx at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Santfeliuenc. Girona B will meet at home Navas (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Andratx will play against Sol Girones (#4) in La Bisbal and hopes to get finally their first victory.
