Regular Season Round 7: Huelva Com. - Torta del Casar 73-58

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Huelva Com. (4-1) beat at home 7th ranked Torta del Casar (2-3) 73-58 on Sunday. Huelva Com. dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Torta del Casar's 28. Huelva Com. forced 26 Torta del Casar turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Federico Ristori (194-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian center Guido Villamil (205-88) helped adding 10 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side forward Lorenzo Diaz (195-86) responded with 14 points and point guard Edu Chacon (180-99) scored 8 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Huelva Com.. They moved-up to second place in Group D-B, which they share with Dos Hermanas and CBSFDO. Loser Torta del Casar dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Huelva Com. will meet Xerez (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Torta del Casar will play against Pozuelo (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
