Everything could happen in Badalona at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Maristes and 10th ranked Almozara had identical 1-3 record. This time Maristes used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Almozara 60-53 on Sunday night. Strangely Almozara outrebounded Maristes 47-33 including a 17-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Adria Rivas (187-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 6 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Alejandro Garaizabal (193-0) helped adding 11 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side center Victor Alijarde (200-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Roberto Perez (192-93) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maristes (2-3) moved-up to fourth place in Group C-2, which they share with 6 other teams. Almozara lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with Badalones. Maristes will meet league's second-placed L'Hospitalet on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Almozara will play against the league's leader Igualada (#1) and hope to win that game.
