Regular Season Round 3: Rustavi - Kutaisi 69-90
Date: November 1, 2021
Very predictable result when Kutaisi (2-0) rolled over on the road Rustavi (0-2) 90-69 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Kutaisi. Rustavi managed to win third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kutaisi dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rustavi's 36. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jarvis Ray (198-90, college: TCU) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 4 assists. International power forward Giorgi Korsantia (207-98) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American swingman Christian Keeling (190-98, college: UNC) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import point guard RJ Price (183-93, college: Radford) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Rustavi in the defeat. Four Rustavi players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kutaisi will meet at home Batumi (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rustavi will play against TSU and hopes to get finally their first victory.
