There was no surprise when 11th ranked Ardoi (4-4) was defeated at home by second ranked Jairis (7-1) 77-68 on Monday. Jairis made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Jairis had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Samoan forward Geralynn Leaupepe (180-96) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Brazilian center Erika De Souza (197-82) chipped in 7 points and 8 rebounds. Jairis' coach Victor Verdu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Iranzu Echeverria (174-93) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Itziar Arregui (173-91) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts.
