Maccabi Rishon can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Hapoel Beer Sheva (2-2) on the road game in Beer Sheva 79-67 on Monday. Maccabi Rishon made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kris Clyburn (198-96, college: UNLV) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Tu Holloway (183-89, college: Xavier) who added 24 points during the contest. At the losing side center Derek Pardon (203-96, college: Northwestern) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Amir Bell (193-96, college: Princeton) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Hapoel Beer Sheva players scored in double figures. Hapoel Beer Sheva's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Maccabi Rishon (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Hapoel Beer Sheva at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with H.Galil Gilboa. Maccabi Rishon will meet at home Ironi Nes-Ziona (#11) in the next round. Hapoel Beer Sheva will play against Bnei Hasharon (#5) in Hod Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
