No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked H.Afula (2-2) smashed at home bottom-ranked H.Izrael (0-3) 104-63 on Tuesday. H.Afula dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to H.Izrael's 40 and made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. H.Afula forced 20 H.Izrael turnovers and outrebounded them 41-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Michael Holyfield (211-92, college: SHSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and point guard Omer El-Al (182-94) who added 15 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five H.Afula players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Dor Goldenberg (202-95) responded with 11 points and 5 assists and guard Tomer Asayag (190-99) scored 12 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. H.Afula moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted H.Izrael still closes the standings with three games lost. H.Afula will meet E.Kiryat Ata (#7) on the road in the next round. H.Izrael will play against I.Ramat Gan (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
