Regular Season Round 6: Strasbourg - Orleans 86-64
Date: November 2, 2021
Bottom-ranked Orleans (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 86-64 loss to eleventh ranked Strasbourg (3-3) in Strasbourg on Tuesday evening. They made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. British forward Michael Belle (200-3) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Hugo Minnig (197-2) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Strasbourg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Philippe Correia (203-1) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese center Christ Sanka (206-2) scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Strasbourg moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Orleans still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Nanterre. Strasbourg will meet at home Roanne (#8) in the next round. Orleans will play against Nanterre (#17) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
