There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Huesca (0-6) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Coruna (4-2) 86-75 on Friday. Swedish Johan Lofberg (199-95) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Nick Ward (203-97, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Coruna players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Jaime Fernandez (206-0) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Ayoze Alonso (187-91) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Coruna have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams.
