No shocking result in a game in Klaipeda where seventh ranked Aistes-LSMU (2-4) smashed bottom-ranked LCC Tarp. (0-6) 87-44 on Friday. The game without a history. Aistes-LSMU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to LCC Tarp.'s 22. Aistes-LSMU forced 31 LCC Tarp. turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Aistes-LSMU made 7 blocks. Brigita Sinickaite (175-1) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and forward Martyna Petrenaite (181-98, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Aistes-LSMU went down to eighth position due to points difference, which they share with Tallina U. LCC Tarp. lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Aistes-LSMU will meet at home league's second-placed Kibirkstis in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LCC Tarp. will play against BJBS R/J (#6) in Riga and hopes to get finally their first victory.
