Regular Season Round 8: Sudety - Rydzyna 91-103

There was no surprise in Jelenia Gora where 14th ranked Sudety (1-7) was defeated by third ranked Rycerze (7-1) 103-91 on Saturday. Rycerze made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Szymon Milczynski (204-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international Kamil Chanas (190-85) who added 24 points and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (189-85) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and power forward Mateusz Podejko (204-0) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Rycerze and five Sudety players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Rycerze have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group D, which they share with Katy Wroc. Loser Sudety keeps the fourteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Gimbasket. Rycerze will meet at home Klodzko (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sudety will play against Olesnica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
