An interesting game was also a 16-point tough home defeat of 4th ranked Quintanar in a game versus La Matanza (#6) 86-70. They made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game, while Quintanar only scored nine points from the stripe. The winners were led by swingman Imobach Gonzalez (193-93) who scored that evening 24 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and Adrian Tato (190-0) supported him with 24 points. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by guard Samuel Barros (190-98) did not help to save the game for Quintanar. Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) added 16 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Four Quintanar players scored in double figures. La Matanza (5-3) moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Rivas. Quintanar lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. La Matanza will meet at home Rivas (#4) in the next round. Quintanar will play against Guimar and hope to secure a win.
