We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Wladyslawowo where 13th ranked KKS Basket (1-5) was defeated by fourteenth ranked SMS PZKosz (2-5) 73-67 on Saturday. SMS PZKosz outrebounded KKS Basket 46-24 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of center Piotr Winkowski (208-3) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and guard Igor Krzych (183-3) who added 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. SMS PZKosz's coach Mariusz Niedbalski used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Lukasz Kupczynski (190-99) responded with 25 points and guard Filip Lenartowski (183-98) scored 18 points. SMS PZKosz moved-up to tenth place in Group A, which they share with Politechnika Gd. and Ogniwo Szcz. Newly promoted KKS Basket dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. SMS PZKosz will meet higher ranked Poznan Pyra (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KKS Basket will play against Politechnika Gd. (#11) and hope to win that game.
