Regular Season Round 7: Nidaros Jets - Centrum 86-92

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Centrum (2-7) beat bottom-ranked Nidaros Jets (1-9) in Tromdheim 92-86 on Saturday. Centrum looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Johannes Dolven (206-96, college: Barry) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Bendik Aunan (185-90) accounted for 15 points and 10 assists for the winning side. Guard Max Svendsen (191-2) came up with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Mikkel Aarnes (184-0) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively for Nidaros Jets in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Centrum maintains eighth place with 2-7 record. Nidaros Jets lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Centrum will meet higher ranked Fyllingen BBK (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nidaros Jets will play against Asker Aliens (#3) and hope to win that game.
