No shocking result in a game when second ranked Ravenna (5-1) beat 5th ranked RO Eurobasket (3-3) in Roma 76-62 on Saturday. Ravenna dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to RO Eurobasket's 22. American guard Austin Tilghman (185-95, college: Monmouth) notched 15 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and swingman Tommaso Oxilia (200-98, agency: Players Group) supported him with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Ravenna players scored in double figures. Ravenna's coach Alessandro Lotesoriere used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by point guard Simone Pepe (184-93, agency: SLN) did not help to save the game for RO Eurobasket. American forward Kyndahl Hill (201-94, college: Weber St.) added 8 points and 10 rebounds. Ravenna maintains second position in A2 with 5-1 record behind leader Cantu. Loser RO Eurobasket dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Ravenna will meet at home Chieti (#5) in the next round. RO Eurobasket will play against Verona and hope to secure a win.
