Regular Season Round 8: Cimbis - Dos Hermanas 84-94

Very predictable result when third ranked Dos Hermanas (5-1) won against on the road 11th ranked Cimbis (1-5) 94-84 on Saturday. Dos Hermanas shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. The winners were led by forward Fernando Cotan (197-91) who scored that evening 23 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Antonio Diaz (190-3) supported him with 17 points. Five Dos Hermanas players scored in double figures. Even 26 points by Angel Canas-Balina (187-97) did not help to save the game for Cimbis. Santiago Canero (-3) added 13 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dos Hermanas moved-up to second place in Group D-B, which they share with Huelva Com. Cimbis lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with Xerez. Dos Hermanas will meet at home Torta del Casar (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Cimbis will play against Real Betis 2 (#8) in Sevilla and hope to win that game.
