Vigevano (5-1) recorded its first loss on the court of twelfth ranked Empoli. Visitors were edged by Empoli 56-54. Point guard Filippo Guerra (189-97) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and power forward Matteo De Leone (198-97) supported him with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Even 14 points by point guard Alessandro Procacci (183-94) did not help to save the game for Vigevano. Guard Michele Peroni (190-94) added 15 points. Empoli (2-4) moved-up to eleventh place in B, which they share with Monfalcone and Crema. Vigevano at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Cividale. Empoli will play against higher ranked Oleggio (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vigevano will play against Pavia (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
