Not a big story in a game in Walbrzych where 8th ranked Lublin 2 (3-4) was defeated by third ranked Gornik (7-1) 81-66 on Saturday. Gornik outrebounded Lublin 2 53-36 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Hubert Pabian (201-89) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Marcin Dymala (187-90) chipped in 8 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Bartosz Ciechocinski (203-91) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and Adam Mysliwiec (200-90) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gornik have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Tychy. Lublin 2 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Krakow. Gornik will meet AZS PO (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Lublin 2 will play against Kotwica and hope to secure a win.
