Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Milano Urania (3-3) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Orzinuovi (0-6) 80-75 on Sunday. Milano Urania made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. American guard Aaron Thomas (196-89, college: FSU) notched 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Matteo Montano (190-92) supported him with 19 points. Even a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Aaron Epps (207-96, college: LSU) did not help to save the game for Orzinuovi. His fellow American import guard LaMarshall Corbett (190-88, college: Angelo St.) added 26 points. Milano Urania maintains ninth position in A2 with 3-3 record. Loser Orzinuovi still closes the standings with six games lost. Milano Urania will meet higher ranked Pistoia (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Orzinuovi will play against the league's leader Cantu (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
