Rather predictable result in Galway where second ranked Ballincollig (4-1) beat bottom-ranked Moycullen (0-4) 86-73 on Sunday. Strangely Moycullen outrebounded Ballincollig 37-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Andre Nation (196, college: JMU) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 assists and Slovenian forward Milorad Sedlarevic (201-93, college: UPEI) who added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Ballincollig players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Grant Olsson (196, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: IceBasket) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Joseph Tummon (204-97) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Ballincollig used an opportunity after Tralee lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Moycullen still closes the standings with four games lost. Ballincollig will meet at home league's second-placed Killester in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Moycullen will play against the league's leader Eanna (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
