The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hapoel Jerusalem as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hapoel Jerusalem defeated 7th ranked Galil Gilboa at home 80-68. American guard Sean Kilpatrick (193-90, college: Cincinnati) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points. Belgian-Nigerian guard Retin Obasohan (191-93, college: Alabama) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Ronnie Harrell (201-96, college: Denver) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American Michael Brisker (185-98) added 13 points in the effort for Galil Gilboa. Four Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with H.Holon and H.Galil Elion. Galil Gilboa at the other side keeps the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with H.Eilat and I.Nes-Ziona. Galil Gilboa will play next round against strong Galil Elion trying to get back on the winning streak. Hapoel Jerusalem will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon.
